Learn to Paint on Porcelain

Create beautiful decorated porcelain objects for gifts, home or sale.

Traditional (naturalistic) china painting (also called porcelain painting) will be taught.

The classes will consist of hands-on instruction on mixing paints and the application of overglaze paint.  Information will also be given about the nature of china painting, where to buy porcelain and supplies and online porcelain organizations.  Pieces will be fired by the teacher in between each class session.

Information about Luster painting  and other applications on porcelain will also be discussed.  Training in these related techniques is also available, if desired, after you have completed your initial lessons.

An abundance of blank porcelain pieces for China Painting and a variety China Painting supplies are available for sale in the studio, but you are welcome to bring your own supplies and porcelain pieces to paint.
